When to Use Animation in Your Canva Designs
Enhancing your design with animation can make static elements come alive, particularly useful for social media videos and presentations. This page guides you through adding, changing, and managing animations within Canva.

How to Apply Animations
To add animation to your design, use the Motion Effects with one click in the "Animate" panel. You can also explore the "Record an Animation" feature, which makes it easy to experiment with different effects. Combine "Basic" or "Photo Movement" animations with Motion Effects to find the style that best suits your design. Various animation options are available for those with Canva accounts including Pro, Canva for Education, and Teams subscription plans.

Changing or Removing Animations
Adjust your design’s animations at any time. You can switch between styles or remove animations entirely if you decide on a different look.

Creating Animations
When creating animations, remember that each one can be up to ten seconds long, and a single design may include up to fifty animations.

Understanding Reduce Motion Settings
Enable the Reduce Motion feature in your Account Settings or directly from the editor if you are sensitive to motion effects. This setting minimizes animations, transitions, and backgrounds, making the viewing experience more comfortable.
