Many users experience issues when trying to apply bold or italic styles to uploaded fonts because these styles are not automatically available. To access these features, it is necessary to upload the correct font files.

Steps to Enable Bold and Italic Styles for Uploaded Fonts

1. **Check Your Font Files:** Ensure you have the bold or italic versions of your desired font. Each style, such as regular, bold, and italic, must be uploaded as separate files.

1. **Upload the Correct Versions:** Go to your Canva account and upload the bold and italic versions of your font file. This will allow you to select these styles when editing your text.

1. **Verify the Upload:** Once uploaded, confirm that all font styles appear under the same font family in the editor.

1. **Apply the Styles:** Now, the bold (**B**) and italic (*I*) options should be available for your uploaded font.

Please note: You can upload up to 18 styles for each font family.
