When to Use This Guide
This guide is perfect for you if you need help with trimming videos or adjusting audio in your designs.
Overview
You can trim both videos and audios that you upload or find in the Canva library. For audio files, "trimming" is similar to "adjusting."
Trimming Videos
Manual Trimming
- To manually trim your video, drag the sliders on the timeline to select the portion you want.
- Once you've set the desired length, click 'Done' to finalize your trim.
Smart Trim
- Smart Trim can automatically find and trim your videos to highlight the most engaging parts.
- If you need to fine-tune the results, you can always adjust manually as described above.
Navigating the Video Timeline
- Use the right arrow key to jump forward and the left arrow key to jump backward through the video.
- Hold the shift key while using the arrow keys to move through the video more quickly.
Adjusting Audios
Segmented Music for Videos and Presentations
- To use music selectively across different parts of your video or presentation, you might consider segmenting your music.
- This workaround is useful when you wish to apply audio to specific pages only.
