When and How to Use Filters in Canva
Filters can enhance your design experience by helping you find specific items within Templates and Elements. Here's when and how to use them effectively:

Using Filters: An Overview
  • Filters are accessible in the search bar when browsing through Templates and Elements.
  • While both free and Pro/Teams users can access filters, the ability to filter elements by price is exclusive to Canva Pro/Teams users.

Filters Within Templates
  • You can filter templates by color and language. This can help you quickly locate templates that match your specific project needs.

Filters Within Elements
  • Elements can be filtered by various attributes:
- Color: Find elements that match or complement your chosen color scheme.
- Orientation: Search for elements that fit the layout orientation of your design, such as portrait or landscape.
- Animation: Easily locate animated elements to bring your designs to life.
- Cut-out: Filter for elements with transparent backgrounds, useful for layering in designs.

For Canva Pro/Teams Users
  • You have the added advantage of filtering by price, which allows you to find elements based on your budget constraints.

If you find these filters are not meeting your needs, please let us know so we can improve the experience for you. Enjoy the ease and efficiency that filters bring to your creative process!
