When to Use Magic Edit?
Use Magic Edit when you wish to add or replace elements in an image. This feature allows you to easily brush over the area you want to modify, describe the changes to Magic Edit, and watch the transformation happen! Please note that Magic Edit is currently available for images only, not videos.
Getting Started with Magic Edit
Magic Edit introduces an auto-select feature that simplifies the process of selecting and editing parts of an image with just a brush or click. This enhancement makes photo editing more intuitive and seamless.
Best Practices for Using Magic Edit
- Avoid adding flags or text; they may not appear correctly.
- Faces or hands might not render as expected.
- To change the color or material of an item, use prompts like "change jacket to blue" or "make the jacket look like it's made of fur."
- If you wish to change the style or scene, select the entire image rather than just brushing over parts.
- Add elements one at a time for a smoother outcome.
- When using the brush tool, cover the right areas for better accuracy.
- Refrain from adding sizes; instead, brush a larger area to get the right effect.
- Avoid including celebrities or well-known brands, as these might be restricted due to copyright.
Tips for Using the Brush Tools
Keep in mind that zooming and undoing or redoing brush strokes in this mode may not be available.
For Mouse Users
- Hold the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.

- Click the left mouse button to draw.
For Trackpad Users
- Use two fingers to pinch and zoom.
- Drag two fingers to pan.
- Press with one finger and drag to draw.
Important Notes
While Magic Edit provides 400 uses within a day under fair use guidelines, it is unlikely you will exceed this limit. We recommend brushing an area similar in shape to your desired addition for best results, such as brushing a circular area to add a ball or an elongated area for a pencil.
