When to Pause Your Subscription and How
You might need to pause your Canva subscription if you want to temporarily stop the renewal charges without canceling your membership entirely. This guide is perfect for understanding how to manage your pause option effectively.

How to Pause a Subscription
If you have a monthly subscription, you can pause it for up to three months right from your account settings. Here’s how:
  1. Go to your account settings.
  2. Navigate to the Billing and Plans section.
  3. Scroll down to the Subscriptions area.
  4. Click on Cancel Subscription.
  5. When the pause option appears, click Continue Cancellation.
  6. Choose I want to take a break as your reason for cancellation and then click Proceed.
  7. Select how many months you’d like to pause: 1, 2, or 3 months. The pause will begin after your current billing period and resume according to your selection.

For annual subscriptions, you'll need less than two months remaining in your billing cycle to use the pause option via your account settings. If you have more than two months left, the pause feature will not be available, but the subscription will automatically pause on our end.

Resuming a Paused Subscription
Once you've paused your subscription, it will automatically restart after the selected period. You can also reactivate it anytime:
  1. Go back to Account Settings.
  2. Open the Billing and Plans section.
  3. Navigate to Subscriptions.
  4. Click Resume and confirm by selecting Come back to Canva Pro.

Quick Tips and FAQs
  • Your paused subscription with an unused offer will automatically continue when it resumes.
  • Subscriptions can only be paused for 3 months and cannot be extended beyond this time.
  • If you're considering canceling your subscription after pausing, please be aware that re-subscribing later will be at the current prices.

We hope this helps you manage your subscription effectively! If anything isn't clear or you need further assistance, feel free to provide feedback so we can improve your experience.
