When Can You Use This Guide?
This guide is handy when you need to request a refund for your Canva subscription. We'll walk through how refunds are processed automatically and when certain conditions might prevent the refund from occurring.

Overview of Our Automated Refund Process
Our automated refund process is designed to handle standard cases where subscriptions need to be canceled and refunded efficiently, reducing the need for manual intervention.

Conditions for Automatic Refund
Your subscription will be automatically canceled and refunded if the following conditions are met:
- Your account is not based in a sanctioned country.
- Your payment identification is linked to a valid charge and invoice.
- The invoice in question has been paid in full and has not been disputed or previously refunded.
- The invoice covers one active Canva Pro subscription.
- The invoice is connected to one of your personal brands.
- The subscription was not purchased through Apple or Google.
- Your subscription includes five members or fewer.
- There are no prorated charges for new members within the subscription period.
- The charge for the invoice was made within 180 days for monthly subscriptions or 60 days for yearly subscriptions.

Situations Where Refunds Are Not Automatic
Refunds will not be processed automatically, and you might receive a warning if:
- You are requesting a refund for premium elements.
- Your subscription purchase was made via the Apple Store or Google Play.
- There were errors processing your payment.
- You have inquiries regarding plan or pricing but are logged into a free team account.
- Subscription refund requests include print invoices.

If your subscription is associated with another user, you may need to identify the email associated with that account.

How to Submit a Refund Request
To request a refund, follow these steps:
  1. Access the Purchase History from your Account Settings.
  2. Locate the subscription you wish to cancel.
  3. Provide the invoice number related to the refund request.
  4. Specify the reason for your refund request.
  5. Describe any issues you encountered.
  6. Include any attachments that might support your request (e.g., bank statements or invoice copies).
