Why Is This Happening?
When your card is canceled or expires, credit card companies often try to keep your recurring subscriptions active to avoid any disruption in services. This is meant to ensure that any ongoing payments, like subscriptions, continue smoothly without you having to update each provider.
What Can You Do?
If you notice a charge on a canceled or expired card, here’s how you can address it:
- **Verify Card Status:** Check if the card was indeed expired or canceled before the charge occurred.
- **Automatic Card Updater:** Credit companies like Visa and Mastercard automatically update your card details so that your recurring payments are uninterrupted. This might be why the charge went through.
- **Updating Your Card Details on Canva:** If you'd prefer to use a new card for future transactions, you can manually update your payment information in your Canva account. Go to the payment settings and enter your new card details to ensure no future charges are placed on your canceled or expired card.
