When to Use This Guide
This guide is here to help you understand and use the Frontify app for your design projects in Canva. You’ll learn how to connect Frontify, access assets, and export your designs.

Overview of Frontify Integration
Frontify is a third-party application that allows you to manage your digital assets effortlessly. You can easily access your Frontify assets to use in Canva and export your finished designs back into Frontify. The Frontify app can now be found on the Apps Page of your homepage instead of the Share menu.

Getting Started with Frontify on Canva

Understanding the Rollout Timeline
  • Frontify was integrated into the Canva Developer Platform on June 13, 2023.
  • From August 10, 2023, this feature has been available for users in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, and the US.
  • Available on: Desktop Web, Desktop App

Connecting to Frontify
  1. On your Canva homepage, click on 'Apps.'
  2. Under 'New,' select 'Frontify' and decide whether to 'Use in an existing design' or 'Use in a new design.' To exit, press the ✖️ button.
  3. In the Permissions section, see what Frontify can do with your Canva account.
  4. Log in using your Frontify account to connect and use the app.

Note on Permissions:
To use Frontify assets in Canva, you need to be added as a Viewer to the relevant Frontify libraries and projects. To add Canva designs to Frontify, an Editor position in those libraries or projects is required.

Exporting Your Designs
With Canva, you can export designs as images, videos, or PDFs. Various third-party apps, including Frontify, can help you export your design and obtain the exported file URLs.
