When to Use This Guide:
This guide is helpful if you need to reactivate your Canva account or want to use the email address from a deactivated account on a different Canva account.
Overview:
If you're trying to log in and receive an error, or you're looking to use an email address that's tied to an old Canva account, this guide will help you reactivate your account or free up your email for another account. Note that the deactivation feature was removed, so this guide applies only to those who deactivated their accounts before this change.
Steps to Reactivate an Account:
- Confirm that the email you are using is the same one associated with your Canva account.
- Check if your account is deactivated by trying to log in. An error message will indicate an inactive status.
- If your account is confirmed to be deactivated, it can be reactivated by sending an email requesting reactivation.
- Once reactivated, you can log in using your previous credentials, or reset your password if needed.
Using the Email Address on Another Canva Account:
- To use the email from your deactivated account on another Canva account, you’ll first need to change it to a new email that isn’t currently registered with Canva.
- Go to your Account Settings from the Canva homepage.
- Next to your Email Address, click Edit.
- Enter your account password and confirm it to enable email editing.
- Replace your current email with a new one that’s not already in use with another Canva account and save changes.
- You can now apply your old email address on your other Canva account.
